News thumbnails on home screen too large on Mac and iPad#522

Especially on Mac but also on iPad the thumbnails for the news items on the home screen are way too large. They almost fill the entire screen because there are always only 2 news items visible at a time. I think their width should be adjusted/fixed so that they have the same width as the game thumbnails.
